First Nature Walks 6/7 and 6/8

I had a great time on my first nature walk! I decided to take my dog on a walk on the public trail behind my neighborhood and around some nearby streets with wooded areas. Looking for fungi was harder than I thought! I found some mushrooms, moss and a few lichen on some trees. After watching the lecture videos from this week, I have realized that fungi are much more important to us than I ever thought. It was interesting to see some of these species out in nature, while really knowing how much they do for us. The weather was beautiful, it was sunny and about 80 degrees. I also went on another walk today, and decided to include some of the photos I took with the photos from my nature walk yesterday. Again, I walked my dog and the weather was beautiful. I am very excited to see what other observations people will make. I am just guessing at any of the species of these observations based on their visual features, and what iNaturalist recommends.
