I am a naturalist living on Galiano Island, BC, Canada, with a MSc in ecology from the School of Environmental Studies, University of Victoria. Currently I am pursuing a PhD in biodiversity data science in the O'Connor Lab at UBC, with a focus on the development of an integrative biodiversity assessment framework.

Natural history is a great passion of mine, which I love to share with those in my community. In this spirit, I serve as the curator of the Biodiversity Galiano project: a community-based initiative to document the flora and fauna of Galiano Island, which was recently featured in Hakai Magazine. I am also a founding director of the Institute for Multidisciplinary Ecological Research in the Salish Sea. If you share a passion for natural history and community science, please don't hesitate to be in touch!
