Entomologist with a strong hymenopteran bias. I did my MS in Fairbanks, Alaska where I studied ants and parasitoid/predatory wasps as predators in forest successional contexts. Lately I have taken an interest in aculeate wasps. I work for the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service based out of Anchorage, AK.

Recent interests:
The chokecherry midge (Contarinia virginianiae) as a natural enemy of invasive chokecherry (Prunus virginiana) in Alaska. This insect has been found in Anchorage, AK but I am keeping an eye out for observations outside Anchorage.
